Deepwater Horizon - Oil Explosion Underwater
•
Jasmin Charlotte
Welcome to When It Goes Wrong, the podcast about disasters, accidents and when things fall apart. On this episode I will be discussing the Deepwater Horizon explosion. On the 20th of April 2010, the offshore oil rig Deepwater Horizon hit a series of issues which resulted in the rig exploding, killing 11 on board. It also resulted in the largest oil leak and spill in history which would take almost 5 months to contain and resulted in huge numbers of wildlife dying.
